What we do

We work collaboratively with our clients to drive positive change. We build and maintain positive relationships and are committed to producing high quality work that makes a difference.

We deliver evidence-informed approaches to achieve the solutions our clients need in a cost effective, convenient and timely manner. We do this by using research and evaluation results to develop evidence-informed strategy, improve services and drive change.

This approach has ensured repeat business and loyalty from our clients.

Change Mapping and making

Point can help changemakers describe and plan for short- and long-term impacts using theory of change and outcomes harvesting and mapping. We are experienced users of formative, summative, developmental and principles-based evaluation and using the results of these to drive improvement and change.

Data gathering and analysis

We are able to utilise a wide range of research and evaluation methods which means we can identify the right tool for the job. We conduct literature reviews, online and hard-copy surveys, interviews, focus groups, participant observation (ethnography), photovoice, and other techniques for gathering information and building understanding. To make sense of the information we collect, we hold sense-making workshops with clients and use statistical and qualitative data analysis software to support the analysis process.

Partner and collaborate

We work with other research, evaluation and social change organisations to build their capacity and extend ours. This includes large and small community organisations, local and central government agencies, philanthropic agencies, and private-sector businesses.

Communication for change

Getting your messaging right is crucial. Our reports do not sit on dusty shelves. We are skilled at communicating research and evaluation using presentations, print-ready documents and websites to appeal to multiple audiences.

Reflective practice

We use reflective practice in Point and Associates to help ourselves make sense of what’s happening, stay well and on track. We also able make this available to our clients to ensure the work we are doing with them is staying true to their vision.

Build capacity

We work alongside a number of organisations to help them build their understanding of research and evaluation, identify what will work best for them, integrate this into their business processes and develop staff capabilities.
